Diana Lynn Harshbarger ( HARSH-bar-gər; born January 1, 1960) is an American pharmacist, businesswoman, and politician. Harshbarger has served as the U.S. representative for Tennessee's 1st congressional district since 2021. Her district is based in the Tri-Cities area in northeastern Tennessee. A member of the Republican Party and a strong supporter of President Donald Trump, Harshbarger was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2020, succeeding incumbent representative Phil Roe. She won reelection in 2022 and 2024. A member of the Freedom Caucus and Republican Study Committee, she is the only woman in Tennessee’s house delegation. Harshbarger was considering a run for Governor of Tennessee in 2026; however, she said she would only run if Senator Marsha Blackburn did not run.
